"Music's been a big part of me since, well birth"... I cut my musical teeth on stages around Detroit starting at 18, first as vocalist with cover band "Apprentice", then as vocalist, bassist, and songwriter for "High Risk". After a couple projects failed to get off the ground in Ohio, I joined a cover band and sang with them for 4 years. And then.... G-String Jettison/G-String Theory! I've been lucky enough to share the stage with many awesome musicians, and the other 3 that comprise GSJ/GST are no exception!
Zab is the guitar player for G-String Jettison/G-String Theory. Zab has been playing in bands for many years and actually, the first band he was in he was lead singer. Zab writes music, builds his own guitars and is an audio engineer by trade. He is a life time member of ASCAP and a member and judge for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Zab also creates most of the AWESOME stage clothes that you'll see him while performing with G-String Jettison/G-string Theory.
Mike has been layin' down funky bass grooves for over 20 years. He is primarily a bass player but also has experience playing guitar and keyboards and is always happy to sing backup harmonies or an occasion lead. His influences are wide ranging, from Sir Paul of the Beatles to Jaco Pastorius to Cliff Burton of Metallica and John Taylor of Duran Duran. Mike has performed with several local cover bands and jazz ensembles over the years but none of them has had as much fun, passion, talent, creativity, and success as G-String Jettison/G-String Theory. Mike also takes care of the PA and tech side of things as well as runs sound during most live shows.
